Getting ready to go out of the country [and to be able to rely on my iPhone] I noticed on Sunday that my iPhone3G was not holding any charge. Panicked at the thought I'd not be able to rely on the phone, I contacted Apple and spoke with a support person who, after some discussion, thought I should take it in directly to the Apple Store's Genius bar and made the appointment. I went in, explained the issue and confirmed that I had not dropped or mistreated it, the Genius switched out the old iPhone with a new one. We updated the software and installed my SIM, and I was good to go. Whew, but good to have great service [yet again]. And the phone worked wonderfully while overseas [a separate blog post is coming].
