I did alot of looking around, trying to find some way to 'automatically' convert Pages documents into PDF. I did find some scripts but they didn't work until I stumbled upon one which works great [it didn't then I communicated with its author and he did a change which allows the script to work with SnowLeopard. I saved it as an Application on my desktop and now can fairly efficiently convert Pages documents into PDFs. It's not a quick process because of the way Pages is built, but works well. I asked him if I could let others know, and he said that would be fine.

The problem which you got is linked to Snow Leopard. With this OS, Apple introduced a third version of the Export dialog so the script which was aware of two versions was fooled.
Go to my iDisk :

and download the new version :
For_iWork:iWork '09:for_Pages09:batch_exportPages2PDF.zip
I write scripts as my brain jogging. If they may help users it's fine.
If you do, take care to say that they are numerous other scripts available for the same price (FREE) in my iDisk.
