Helpful information for new iPad users:
There are a bunch of excellent guides that come in PDFs or ePubs which can be downloaded and then imported into your iPad and read in iBooks. I thought I’d provide some of them here:
Take Control series: especially Media on your iPad, Mail on the iPad, iPad Basics. These PDFs or ePubs can be found at www.TakeControlbooks.com.
MakeUseOf series: There are all sorts of helpful downloads which you can find by selecting the various drop down menus for what you want/need [How To & Tips and Best of Apps are especially helpful]; Makeuseof also has an iOS5 Guide which focuses on the latest operating system specifically for the iPhone and iPad. See www.MakeUseOf.com.
Apple’s Website: If you go to the Apple.com website you’ll find a plethora of materials, videos, PDFs and other documents, users guides, etc., which will be helpful. Apple.com [be sure to go to the iPad area as well as Support area]
Other Resources: Whatever the topic, I go to my iTunes Store and do a search in Podcasts and iTunesU and, sometimes, Books. There’s a wealth of information there, much if not most of it free. And if you’re an aural learner, a podcast may be just the thing.
