Philadelphia

is a wonderful city and I'd never really seen it, downtown, despite living in the east [DC area] for years and visiting our daughter here at UPenn more recently.  But I have been here for a convention [American Association for Justice] and yesterday took the first real block of free time to walk over about some 16 city blocks [from 12th & Market] shooting photographs.  No time to yet upload them to my gallery site, yet, but I loved the bus stops, as you can see.  Reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose Fallingwater I visited as we drove home after graduation this past May.

Lots of Pictures, Various Things

I'm posting photographs over at my JourneyZing blog site,  not only from trips and events, but most recently from the Des Moines floods.  Here's one, water over the river bank although it's much lower than it was earlier in the week, when it came up to the top of the bridge underpass:

Cross-referencing to Croatia & Venice trip

Just noting that I'm maintaining a blog on my photography website [JourneyZing.com] with some photographs and explanations of the trip I'm presently on, to Croatia and Venice.

Photographs/Gallery

I am in the midst of updating my JourneyzZing website, but the information there is still accurate even if dated. My collection of images is at a gallery at SmugMug.com, VictoriaJZ.

Just returned from Beijing, China

Actually, we didn't 'just' return from Beijing, but it really has taken me this long to pull myself together. The 12 hour time difference coupled with a ver-r-r-y long flight took it out of me. In any event, great trip and lots to tell and pictures too! But, it'll have to wait until I can get a proper trip report created. Suffice it to say, despite falling off the Great Wall [literally and for real!] we made it back, scrapes and bruises only. More to come.

New Pictures Up...

On a lazy Sunday, I went downtown in Des Moines and, finding the bright sun cast a dark shadow, took some interesting photos of a fire escape on a warehouse in downtown Des Moines. Then I used Photoshop a bit to do some 'tweaking'. Fire Escape Series

My Big, Fabulous Greek Holiday, Published

I wrote a Trip Report for SlowTravel.com, a wonderful site for people who really want to get into a people and culture and not rush around when travelling. The full, six page report and lseveral pictures are posted at the site. Go to Trip Report #1248 .

Now, an Australian magazine, DUO, has published an editted version of the report in its August 2007 magazine. A smaller pdf file of the article is at the SlowTrav website's Scrapbook. I'll upload an under 1mb version on my JourneyZing site.

Hope you find it enjoyable! At least to whet your appetite.

Morocco

Although not strictly related to my law practice, being a well-rounded person is. Thus, enjoying travel to other countries and cultures and taking photographs of those places. I finally got through all the photographs of Morocco from our trip there in March and they're up in two albums, one for People & Work and the other for other images from Morocco. SmugMug
